Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the IT Project Manager position at poltextLAB. With more than six years of experience delivering software development, data-driven, and research-focused IT projects, I am drawn to the opportunity to work in an environment where technology and social science meaningfully intersect.
In my current role as IT Project Coordinator at the Centre for Social Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, I oversee several parallel research IT projects involving international partners and budgets of up to €200,000. My work spans coordinating multidisciplinary teams of researchers, developers, and external vendors, as well as ensuring the successful delivery of custom data-processing solutions and research infrastructure. One of my key contributions has been the introduction of Jira and Confluence as standard project management tools, which resulted in a 25% reduction in delivery times and significantly improved transparency and collaboration across teams.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Junior Project Manager at a web development agency, where I was responsible for the full lifecycle of client projects. Using agile methodologies, I consistently delivered projects on time and within budget while maintaining clear and proactive communication with stakeholders. Before that, my role as an IT Analyst at T-Systems Hungary provided a solid technical foundation, particularly in requirements analysis, documentation, and quality assurance.
I hold an MSc in Information Technology Project Management and maintain several professional certifications, including PMP and Certified Scrum Master. I am comfortable working across agile, hybrid, and research-oriented environments, and I particularly enjoy turning complex technical challenges into clear, structured project plans that serve both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
poltextLAB’s focus on innovative, research-driven initiatives strongly resonates with me, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my project management expertise, organizational skills, and collaborative approach to your team.
Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I would be pleased to further discuss how my experience and interests align with poltextLAB’s objectives.
Kind regards,
Márton László Kovács
